Good Morning Shining Sun reflects on the impact of global warming. From wholesale pollution of our natural world to changing coast lines, floods and fires, strengthening storms, and species dying off, artist Liz Blum will whip up studio detritus into statements of alarming consequences for the future of our planet.

Anne Bala, from our Cornwall Residency Programme, is exhibiting her work from her project Searching for Simone, exploring the roots, far from the tree.

This residency will be a chance to explore the connections one can find in the search for the biological family when the traces are unclear, the documents are false and the evidence is subjective.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
EXHIBITION CALL OUT

Black History Month is an international festival which showcases the influences and contributions of black culture, art, science, sport, music and entrepreneurship within society.
The month long event 1st – 31st October will include exhibitions, poetry, talks, films and a ‘Black Roots Music Festival’ at both the main centres and in other participating venues in he UK.
If you would like to be involved in the Black History Month celebrations by helping to organise, submitting artwork for exhibition or participating in one of the events please contact: fishfactoryarts@live.co.uk with an introduction and a few examples of your work.

Near the River of Antre

Taking Bishop Bronscombe's prophecy as a starting point, a group of artists, writers, folklorists, psychogeographers and performers have met in and around Penryn for the last twelve months to explore the history and folklore of the town and its river, The Antre, through a series of walks and practice based workshops.

The resulting exhibition is a celebration of Penryn and all its secret corners, lost buildings, gaps and mysterious spaces between.

...Near the River of Antre includes the work of Lyn Andrewes, William Arnold, Vicki Clark, Julie Howe, Sofie Hub, Alan Kent, Lally 
MacBeth, Penny MacBeth, Steve Patterson, Lisa Stewart, Lisa Wisdom and Dave Wisdom.
